vivoPharm recently formed a strategic alliance with TetraQ in Brisbane, Quensland to broaden their preclinical drug development services. TetraQ brings its signature specialised testing of drugs for pain and central nervous system disorders while vivoPharm's strength lies in testing anti-cancer drugs and evaluating safety and toxicology profiles of development compounds. Combined, these disease areas account for many drugs currently in development. These models require specialist knowledge and facilities which drug development companies frequently find are best provided by contract research organisations with strengths in particular disease areas. vivoPharm is very pleased to access TetraQ's expertise in the central nervous system field, which will fill a gap in our service line-up and also widen our business development reach. vivoPharm and TetraQ will promote each other's services, and collaborate in areas of mutual interest such as the development of new models and new non-invasive imaging technology.
